Veg Saag

Veg Saag is healthy and full of nourished vegetables. Its yummy and mostly liked by the kids too. Veg Saag is quick, easy and simple dish. any vegetables at your home can be use.

1 Cup Carrot
2 Cup Capsicum
2 Cup onion
1 Cup Cauliflower
1 Cup potato (option)
1 Cup Paneer
1 inch Cinnamon (Dalchini)
1 tsp Cumin seed (Jeera)
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp green chilies
1 spoon Coriander leaves
2 tsp Black pepper
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp Asafoetida (Hing)
Salt as per taste
3 tsp Oil


Note :- You can also add Spinach in this, just give a little boil to spinach and add at the end, when you add other vegetables.

Take the paneer first and cut them in cubes. Heat a pan to shallow fry the paneer cubes. If you want you can prepare the paneer cubes in little oil also or just bake them in pan and make them golden brown and keep them aside.
Now wash all the vegetables properly and cut then in normal cube size.
Now in a pan add 2 tsp oil and put all the vegetables except capsicum. mix them all well add salt as per taste and 2 tsp black pepper powder, mix it and cover it properly. If required you can add little water to cook the vegetables. after few mins check the vegetables if they are cooked add the capsicum mix them and cover for 5 mins.
Take other pan add 1 tsp oil, add 1 inch Cinnamon (Dalchini) and 1 tsp Cumin seed (Jeera) let them crackle. now add 1 tsp ginger, 1 tsp garlic and 1 tsp green chilies (you can also use gralic, ginger and green chilies paste) lower the flame.
After 5 mins add the cooked vegetable and fried / baked panner. mix them well. add 1 tsp Asafoetida (Hing), 1 tsp garam masala, 2 tsp lemon juice and salt as per taste. mix all properly. cover the pan and lower the flame for 5 – 7 mins, off the flame
Garnish it with 1 spoon Coriander leaves. serve hot with Roti or Paratha.
