Khattey aloo is very simple and quick dish. it goes well with plain rice.

4 big size potatoes
3- 4 garlic cloves
1 tsp Turmeric powder (Haldi)
1 cup curds (dahi)
1 tsp coriander (dhania) leaves
1 tsp mustard seed (Rai)
1 tsp red chilie powder
3 tbsp oil
salt to taste
Take the 4 big size potatoes and wash them properly. now boil the potatoes in cooker and give 2 -3 pressure. check them its should be properly boiled. now take out the potatoes, peel it and keep it aside.
Take one potato smash it and keep it aside. now take the rest 3 potatoes and cut in normal size and keep aside.
Now heat a pan or kadhai, put oil in it and lower the flame. on other side take a mixer jar put curd (Dahi), 3 -4 crushed gralic, 1 tsp Turmeric powder (Haldi), 1 tsp red chilie powder and salt as per taste. now grind it for 1 min and keep the mixture aside.
Take pan put 3 tsp oil and add 1 tsp mustard seed (Rai) and lower the flame.
Now pour the curd mixture into it and stir it, now add the cutted potatoes and mix it.
After few mins add the smashed potato and and mix it well. water can be used if you feel the gravy is less. then add salt as per your taste.
Now leave it for 5 mins on lower flame, meanwhile sprinkle the 1 tsp coriander (dhania) leaves.
Now off the flame and serve it with Roti or Rice…
