Keri ki Lunji

Keri ki LunjiKeri ki Lunji is very quick and simple dish. you can call it as Keri ki chatney or sabji. its is rich in spice and sweet taste. This dish is specially to have on summer season. as we get best raw mangoes in market. So enjoy the yummy dish.

Keri ki Lunji2 raw mango (Kachi Keri)
1 1/2 cups Jagery (Gud) / sugar
1 tsp Cumin seeds (Jeera)
1 tsp fennel seeds (saunf)
4 tsp red chilli powder (Spice as per taste)
Chopped coriander leaves
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste


First cut the raw mango (kachi keri) in four parts and keep it for boiling, if you want you can use full mango also and ever whistle it. just make sure it should get soft properly. as mango is boiling keep checking it and off the flame when its done and keep it aside.
Now in a pan add oil as oil get hot lower the flame and add 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) and 1 tsp fennel seeds (saunf) into it, when cumin seeds get light brown add the boiled raw mango into it. if you have boiled it full then cut it before adding into pan. now stir it and add 1 n 1/2 cup jagery (gud) or sugar into it. mix it properly. make sure sugar or jagery should get dissolved properly. keep on string and you feel jagery / sugar is mixed properly add 3 tsp red chili powder or as per your taste and also add salt. keep it on lower flame for 6-7 mins. The consistency of Lunji should be thick. now off the flame and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves. now serve this hot and spicy Keri ki Lunji with roti or paratha.
